How do we make custom apparel or merchandise?

We use DTF printing to print the image onto film then heat press it on to the desired apparel or merchandise of choice.

What is DTF?

DTF stands for direct-to-film. This technique involves printing your design directly onto transparent film using a dtf printer and specialized inks, curing the image then transferring it to a garment made of cotton, polyester, or their blends, regardless of their colour. This technique uses white ink allowing images to be bright on both light and dark garments.

What is the difference between DTF, vinyl and sublimation?

HTV involves cutting vinyl sheets into the desired design. Vinyl has one colored side while the other side is the adhesive carrier.

What exactly is sublimation? In scientific terms, sublimation is the transition of a substance directly from a solid state to a gas state. It does not pass through the usual liquid state, and only occurs at specific temperatures and pressures. Sublimation utilizes an inkjet printer, special ink and specialty paper to print images.

DTF allows for photo quality prints and can be put on a variety of surfaces. Vinyl design is limited to vinyl colors available. Sublimation items must have a white or light-coloured print area. Black or dark-coloured surfaces can't be sublimated.

How durable is DTF?

DTF prints are more durable than vinyl, sublimated or even screen-printed designs. The ink is actually bonded to the fabric, so it won't crack, peel, or fade like other methods. DTF prints can also withstand multiple washes without losing their color or quality. Sublimated items may lose colour over the months due to the effect of UV rays if it's permanently exposed to direct sunlight.

Custom Orders

For custom orders please email us @ greenteadesignskc@gmail.com. Please note, total time from design to shipping may take anywhere from 4-6 weeks. Please plan accordingly. Design and finalizations may take up to 3 days. Typical production time for most custom printed products is an additional 2 weeks after design has been finalized. A contract with approved design mockups, pricing, delivery date and special instructions will be emailed and must be signed, dated and returned before any ordering or printing will begin. All approval methods will be via email no other finalizations or approval methods will be accepted. Once the order is shipped, an email will be sent with tracking information. For large orders, a 25% down-payment may be required at time of contract.

Shipping

Please allow 2-3 days after order for shipment unless prior shipping arrangements have been made. We offer flat rate shipping for the first item plus an additional amount per item. Expedited shipping options are offered at checkout at an additional cost. Items will be shipped to the shipping address indicated at time of checkout. An email will be sent with tracking information once the item has shipped.

We only offer shipping within the US. There is no international shipping at this time and apologize for the inconvenience.

Payments

Currently we offer Credit Card payments via Swipe and Paypal for online payments. In-person payments can be made through Tap, Paypal or Venmo.

Return Policy

We hope you will never need this information but understand unexpected situations beyond our control may arise.

Cancellation

Cancellations will not be accepted once the design has been finalized and contract has been signed, merchandise ordered and/or printed.

Returns

To return a Custom Printed Product:

You must request an RMA (Return Merchandize Authorization) number before making a return. To obtain an RMA number simply email us at greenteadesignskc@gmail.com and make a request for a RMA number. Please include in the email the date of your purchase and order number, what you would like to return and why you want to return it. If the return is approved, the RMA number must be included on the outside of the return package. Please return to the address indicated in the RMA return approval email.

What cannot be returned:

Due to the nature of custom printed apparel, we cannot accept returns or exchanges of any items unless the merchandise is misprinted, flawed, or defective. This includes variation in sizes and styles. Please note the size and measurements for each item before purchase. If you have any questions about the fit of any garment, please check the chart included in the item description or email us at greenteadesignskc@gmail.com.

We cannot be responsible for the purchase of incorrect sizes and will not be able to accept returns for this reason once the garments are custom printed.

If the item was misprinted (not what was finalized and agreed upon), please contact us at greenteadesignskc@gmail.com within 7 days from receipt of merchandise and we will be happy to make a return arrangement, reprint or credit. Order number and must be included in all correspondence. Once return arrangements have been made, a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number will be issued. The RMA number must be included on the outside of the return package. Please note the returns for exchange/store credit must be made within 20 days of original receipt of purchase. Please return to the address indicated with the RMA return approval email.
